Twenty-five years ago I made the decision to become a full time freelance journalist. Since then I have published articles in hundreds of periodicals around the world including the New York Times, Outside, the Toronto Star, the Globe and Mail, Time, Maclean’s, the National Post, the Irish Independent, Britain’s Sunday Herald, enRoute, Business Traveller and have interviewed, and written features on, esteemed individuals from all walks of life such as Eric Clapton, Usain Bolt, Wayne Gretzky, Justin Trudeau and Garry Kasparov to name a few. My assignments have taken me around the world and I have been fortunate to pursue my love of wildlife and travel photography for the past decade. I continue to live in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada where I can be close to my three adult kids: Conor, Liv and Owen AND my newborn grandson, Raven Jai Gains.
